Support, Outreach, Achievement, Recovery & Resilience (SOARR) program

The Psycho-Social Rehabilitation (PSR) program has changed their name. They are now, the Support, Outreach, Achievement, Recovery & Resilience (SOARR) program. The SOARR Mental Health program services include Community Support, Therapy/Counseling {group & individual}, Evaluation & Assessment, and psychosocial rehabilitation skill building.

SOARR Mental Health program of NorthPointe Resources is for persons diagnosed with chronic Mental Illness. The primary focus is relapse prevention, recovery, and building resilience. The approach is holistic in nature and takes into account the whole person. It is designed to assist our individuals in building skills in independent living, learning, social and working environments. Individual participation in setting individualized goals is strongly encouraged and fostered in the program design, where personal choice is emphasized, and personal responsibility is nurtured.

Understanding the importance of building and utilizing natural supports, we spend over half of our scheduled program hours in the local community. We participate in the local Meals on Wheels delivery program, volunteer at the Zion Food Pantry, and forge partnerships with other community groups and organizations, to encourage our people to engage in “giving back”, as well as full access of the local resources to benefit their quality of living. Above all, SOARR is about building relationships, and nurturing those relationships, understanding that these can become the foundation of continued wellness and sound health.

Recognizing recovery is a life long process, the focus is working towards feeling and celebrating, the fact that we are Whole & Well human beings!
