Bob Killian Memorial Scholarship

NorthPointe Resources establishes a scholarship fund in 2008 in honor of Bob Killian.
"The Bob Killian Memorial Scholarship Fund" will provide financial assistance to those individuals attending an accredited colleges or university with an emphasis on Rehabilitations Services or Special Education Applications and Studies and will be awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Rehabilitations Services or Special Education. All applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements.
- Applicants must be a high school graduate or GED.
- Applicants must maintain a minimum 3.0 grade point average.
- No financial need is required to qualify.
- Applicant must submit all required application information.
- Applicant must show an emphasis on Rehabilitations Services or Special Education on applications in their course-work.
- Applicant must be a US citizen.
- Submit a one hundred word essay stating what you plan to do with your post high school education and how it impacts individuals with disabilities.
The recipient will be chosen by the Zion Benton Township selection committee. This committee will determine award recipient before the award night each year and will be presented at the Annual Community Honors and Awards Program at Zion Benton Township High School.
The Bob Killian Memorial Scholarship Fund does not discriminate by age, race, color, national origin, disability, creed or gender.
Awards
One $1,000.00 award will be given annually.
Application Information and Deadlines
All applications will be submitted to Zion Benton Township High School. The application and deadline information can be received from the Student Services office (room 202) at the high school.
