Fifth Annual Benefit Luncheon, "A Day at the Races" Fund Raising Event

Perfect weather and the breathtaking views of The International Room at Arlington Park Race Track proved to be the perfect place for our Fifth Annual Benefit Luncheon, “Day at the Races” event held on Saturday, May 15, 2010.

This year we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day of sunshine. Over 200 attendees enjoyed delicious food, great racing, mingling with friends, our new Matchbook Game, Ladies Hat Contest and a large selection of silent auction items: Travel Certificates, Theater tickets, Baseball tickets, sports memorabilia, jewelry, theme baskets, home improvement services and so much more. Guests were thrilled to play our Matchbook game which was a sell out!

This year, the Benefit Luncheon, A Day at the Races, contributed over $37,000 for programs for adults with disabilities. Many thanks to our Chairperson and Board Member Colette Berardi who dedicated endless hours of volunteering for this event, as did Lona Massong our Decoration Chair person. And a special thank you must go out to Anne and Bob Johnson whose skills soliciting an endless list variety of top-notch silent auction items as well as matchbook items is legendary.  Lastly, we are grateful for the help of our volunteers for making the day so enjoyable for our guests!
