Zion LAN 2006 is a Success, June 10th, 2006

On the weekend of June 10th, Northpointe Resources hosted Zion LAN 2006 – the second annual LAN party fundraising event. A LAN (Local Area Network) party consists of computer gamers assembling in one place, with their computer, and playing computer games for the duration of the event. Over 260 gamers traveled from as far as California, Texas, and even Canada and Germany, to participate in this weekend-long event. In addition to the main event, our attendees enjoyed several cash tournaments as well as raffles and contests. |

Thanks to the support of the many event sponsors, Northpointe was able to raise $4,000. A big thanks goes out to our Platinum sponsors: BFG Tech and Newegg.com. They showed support by donating products for tournament prizes, and Newegg provided a brand new Ferrari-branded laptop that was raffled off to raise funds for Northpointe. Other sponsors included PNY, Centon, and Tech-Vue Gaming.
We look forward to our next LAN party fundraiser and hope to host a larger and more successful event each year. |
